Augustinian Calvinism Rules OK!

btw: Did you get that cartoon in Edinburgh???

Robin Parry said...

I think I got it from Rev. Ravi Holi a few years back.

Nope, I think that's not the copy you got from "Pasta Ravioli" (his joke!).

I think it is the "Edinburgh Recension", the far right parasol of which was truncated, then partly emended, and is clearly visible in you copy!

Nice to hear that you caught up with Ravi.

Alas, I have never heard of the Edinburgh Recension. I got this from Ravi's MA thesis (perhaps Ravi got it from Edinburgh).

Did someone in Edinburgh do this cartoon then? Was it in a mag?

Dear Robin,

Apologies for being so cryptic -- I was just being funny, what with using all these terms from textual criticism.

You're right, I had forgotten that Ravi used it in his MA thesis.

It's just that I think I can see the artistic "emendations" I made to a copy I gave you in Edinburgh several years ago -- but no need to bring in the Art Critics!!
