Beautiful Things
All this pain
I wonder if I’ll ever find my way
I wonder if my life could really change at all
All this earth
Could all that is lost ever be found
Could a garden come up from this ground at all

You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us

All around
Hope is springing up from this old ground
Out of chaos life is being found in You

You make me new, You are making me new

I am the captain,
You are the sea.
I sail upon You,
Your waves lead me.
Though I could turn and face them,
and sail on without a storm,
I know it would just take me longer
to get home,
where I belong.

You are the artist
of all earthly array.
Your tapestry’s perfect
but not facing my way.
Though the yarn-ends seem knotted and tattered,
not knowing what parts they play.
I know the tapestry’s perfect,
facing Your way
on eternal display.

For you are the peace loving God I desire,
You are the magic that lights my fire.
Though others say it’s just a feeling,
I know that’s just half true.
Because every single day
comes shining through
Your love
reaching eternally.

i was googling lyrics for gungor for my own blog.
i was writing my own blog because im clinging on to the hope that something beautiful will come out of the mess i find myself in

and i find myself encouraged by that poem/song, so thank you.
