Andrew G. Walker—Respect!

I have long loved the work and ministry of Professor Andrew G. Walker. Social scientist, theologian, and servant of both church and academy. Started Pentecostal and ended up Orthodox and yet never renounced his pneumatic roots. He has done huge amounts to help evangelical theologians and leaders mature in their faith and praxis and has earned the love and respect of many.

Andrew was the guy who resurrected C. S. Lewis throwaway phrase "deep church" as a term to describe the deep roots of orthodoxy shared by all orthodox Christians. His passion has always been for a deep ecumenism grounded in the historic Christian faith and yet fully awake to the cultural contexts in which we find ourselves.

This is a video done in Andrew's honour at a conference held in London.

Thank you Andrew for all your service of the kingdom
